Sheena Nash Owner of Beyond the Bloom

My Story

I'm Sheena Nash, the heart and soul behind Beyond the Bloom Farm & Floral. As the owner, operator, farmer, florist, weed puller, and visionary, I lead our small cut flower farm nestled in Aumsville, Oregon, spanning 1/4 acre of our home property. I grew up in Aumsville & am delighted to be raising my family & running my business here.

Beyond the Bloom took root in 2020 as a dream. Having spent three years crafting floral designs and conducting floral workshops, I yearned for something more. Simultaneously juggling a career in the dental field as a hygienist, I sensed that my true passion lay elsewhere. During the quarantine period, while at home with my husband and two sons, I embarked on an experiment – growing various plants and flowers in our small shed-turned-greenhouse.

To my delight, I discovered my knack for growing flowers and became utterly captivated. Eager to share my blooms with others and incorporate them into my workshops and event designs, I set out to expand. With a tiny backyard at the time, certainly unsuitable for what I had planned, my family and I took a bold step in February 2020 and purchased our current home in Aumsville, with 1.5 acres. We made the move in June 2020, transplanting the plants from my greenhouse experiment into a quickly constructed 30"x90" garden.

Since that pivotal moment, the farm has flourished and transformed. Presently, I cultivate flowers on approximately a quarter of an acre, growing via in-ground and raised beds. Having retired from dental hygiene, I am wholeheartedly dedicated to pursuing my passion for growing flowers and creating unique designs.

When asked about my favorite flowers, the list is extensive – I adore almost everything I grow! Ranunculus, Anemones, Peonies, Tulips, Dahlias, Delphinium, and Zinnias are at the top of my list!

I am filled with excitement as I continue to dream up new ideas for Beyond the Bloom. A heartfelt thank you to my family, friends, and all those who have supported me and the farm!
